The Download recovery option is common for all the image-based models (VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Image Backup). There are two types of recovery possible:
Through File-Level Recovery, you can restore specific files and folders from the backup. When you choose the download restore type you can download backup data as an offsite copy in your preferred file format (VHD, VHDX).
