After switching from VEEAM, I found BDRSuite much easier to use and set up. The support team have been extremely helpful with any questions I’ve had.

– Chris B

Vembu is a competitive product to Veeam and Nakivo, yet the pricing is much more pleasant. Also, my support experience with them has been good.

– Koby F

We previously used Veeam, and we made the switch due to the change in their licensing. They don’t do perpetual licensing anymore. They’re going to a subscription-based model, which doesn’t fit with our business model.

– Isaac K., Network Engineer

We considered both Veeam Backup and Veritas/Symantec Backup Exec, but to us BDRSuite proved to be the most flexible product to a reasonable price.

– Niels Jensen, IT Manager

Our choice came down to Vembu and Veeam both of which we have significant experience with. We ultimately chose Vembu over Veeam due to the price difference and our preference for Vembu’s tech support.

– Dan Worrell, Datacenter Manager

A workload is equivalent to one of the following:

  • 1 VMware VM
  • 1 Hyper-V VM
  • 1 KVM VM
  • 1 oVirt VM
  • 1 Proxmox VM
  • 1 AWS EC2 instance
  • 1 Azure VM
  • 1 Physical Windows Server
  • 1 Physical Linux Server
  • 500 GB of source NAS/File Share data

Example: If you have 50 VMware VMs, 30 physical Windows Servers, 20 AWS EC2 instances, you need to buy 100 workload licenses.

A user is equivalent to one of the following:

Example: If you have Microsoft 365 Organization with 100 Users and you want to backup only 75 users, you need to buy 75 user licenses.

A CPU-Socket license is based on the number of CPU sockets in the Hypervisor hosts. CPU socket license covers all virtual machines (VMs) running on that host.

Example: If a host has two CPU sockets, you need to purchase two licenses, and you can backup all VMs in the host.
