BDRSuite’s Cross Platform Recovery – An Overview
BDRSuite offers seamless cross-platform recovery, powered by its patented file system, VembuHIVE, allowing physical-to-virtual (P2V), and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversions with ease.
BDRSuite allows you download the backup data in any of the formats like VHD, VMDK, Flat.VMDK, VHDX and RAW through the recovery option called ‘Download Disks’ or you can simply perform ‘Disk Mount’ to instantly mount all file formats on BDRSuite Virtual Drive. You can choose the format and download the VM/Physical machine from backup based on the new platform.
BDRSuite also offers instant cross-platform recovery with Instant Boot VM where the backed up machines (Physical/Virtual) can be instantly booted/restored in less than 15 mins as a virtual machine (VM) on VMware Hyper-V or KVM. This allows for instant recovery of virtual machines to another virtual platform (V2V) and physical machines to virtual platform (P2V) irrespective of their source.

V2V Migration: If you are planning to migrate your VMware VM to Hyper-V, you can download the VM in VHD or VHDX format as its the supported format for Hyper-V hypervisor.
P2V: If you are planning to migrate your physical Windows machine to VMware environment, you can download flat.VMDK formats. With the downloaded format, you can easily migrate your machine and complete the cross-platform recovery with BDRSuite.
