Full VM Recovery to Hyper-V Server
Full VM Recovery feature for Hyper-V allows you to restore an entire virtual machine (VM) in case of a disaster or unexpected data loss. This feature works by enabling you to recover the entire VM from any point in time, including its configuration, operating system, and applications, all in one go.
How it Works
When a VM is backed up, all its data, settings, and configurations are backed up.In case of a disaster, you can restore the entire VM from the backup, including its configuration and applications, by simply selecting the backup and initiating the restore process.
- Select the VM(s) you want to restore
- Choose the latest restore point or any previous backup that you want to restore
- You can restore the VM to the original Hyper-V Server or a different server in the same or another location
- You can also customize the VM configurations before initiating recovery
- You can also initiate full VM recovery for multiple VMs at the same time
- Upon initiating the restore, the entire backed up Hyper-V VM(s) will be restored to the target Hyper-V Server. You can now start using the VM in your production environment
