The opportunity is a deal made with your customer about a possible purchase of product, that has the possibility to close in either success or failure. Opportunities allow you to collect and report on a variety of information relating to the sales deal, such as probability of closing and more.

Opportunity Management in Vembu SalesDesk:

Vembu SalesDesk offers an easy Opportunity management system that helps to manage the opportunities easily .

In Vembu SalesDesk, Opportunities can be created and managed under leads and existing customers to track the extent of income possible and the progress of sales process. This tracking is based on the size and status of the opportunities which is specified by the sales agent based on his experience with leads or customers. To indicate success or failure in sales effort, opportunities are closed accordingly by sales agents.

By analyzing the collective opportunity data, managers would be able to estimate sales, quantify sales progress, detect problems in sales progress etc… The opportunity data could also be exported as CSV if needed.

Types of Opportunity in Vembu SalesDesk :

New : Any new individual or company who is interested in services or product.

Old :  Any existing Customer (Account) who is interested in a services or product different from previous purchases

Here in Vembu SalesDesk, Opportunities can be created for any accounts(Customer) or for leads (Prospects).

Terms meaning & Stages of Opportunities :

1  New  : This is the first stage in sales process and indicates opportunity in New stage

2  Prospect : This the stage where sales representative interacts with the prospect to determine if a sales opportunity exists

3  Evaluating : This stage indicates the opportunity is in evaluation of the product

4  Contracting : In this stage, the sales representative delivers the proposal, or sometimes called the price quote, to the prospect

5  Close-won : This is the stage where sales rep has won an opportunity

6  Closed-lost: This stage indicates that sales representative has lost an opportunity

How can a New Opportunity  be added in Vembu SalesDesk?

An opportunity to Leads or Accounts(Customer) can be added by the following steps.

Steps to add an Opportunity through Leads/Account  page

  1. Go to Leads/Accounts list page in Vembu SalesDesk
  2. Click on any lead/account
  3. Click on ‘Add Opportunity’ option where a pop-up window will be produced.
  • Select a contact for which the opportunity has to be created.
  • Choose the  required product name
  • Select stage of opportunity

Example  :   New/Prospect/Evaluating and etc..

  • Enter the amount of the Opportunity.
  • Click on the expected closing date filed and select opportunity closing date
  • Select Sales agent for opportunity

4. Finally click  ‘Add’ option,  where an Opportunity will be added

Steps to add an Opportunity through Opportunity  page

  1. Go to Opportunity page in Vembu SalesDesk
  2. Click on “New Opportunity” which directs to Opportunity creation page
  • Select a Lead/Customer for which the opportunity has to be created
  • Now choose a Contact for the selected lead/account
  • Choose the  required product name & stage of opportunity

Example  :   New/Prospect/Evaluating and etc..

  • Enter the amount of the Opportunity
  • Click on the expected closing date filed and select opportunity closing date
  • Select Sales agent for opportunity

3. Finally click  ‘Add’ option,  where an Opportunity will be added .
