Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, 2008 will be held in Houston, Texas between July 7 & 10. The exhibit hall will be open between July 8 & 10 and we’ll be there at Booth no. 1063 (yes its a big event; but no, they don’t have 1000+ booths)!
If you’re attending or if you’ll be in Houston (or thereabouts), it would be great to catch up and put faces to names. I’ll be there and so will Sekar Vembu, our CEO!
If you can make it, do let us know here.
While on the subject of tradeshows…
What other events do you suggest we attend? Xchange? SMBNation? HostingCon? We’re planning on attending a few select events and obviously wish to select those where we can meet our (existing & prospective) partners! Please give your suggestions in the comments below.
Go to SMBSummit, Connectwise Conference and Maybe SMBNation. You will cover most vars between these 3. No need to waste money anywhere else.
Lux I wish u would have done this 2-3 years ago – u would have captured the market. You guys had a good product, were timely but Sales n marketing lapse led to Zenith Infotech filling in that vacum (with another great offering)!
Also being someone who can relate to you a little better, I can tell you, you should have looked into a US based partner to drive sales much early on. Unfortunately the “India based company” is still considered a Stigma by some.

Thanks for the honest feedback, Mo.
We’ll definitely consider the events you’ve mentioned above (what’s your view on XChange, by the way? HostingCon, anyone?)
On having done this earlier…
Yes, that’s certainly a valid point of view. But considering that the Service Provider Edition now has many of the features Service Providers would need, we feel we’re more ready now. I guess its also that we didn’t want to over promise and under deliver (I know that’s fairly common in software, but its not our style).
On it being late…
Not sure I entirely agree. I believe the online backup market is still in its infancy and has a long way to go. What we’re seeing now is just the tip of the iceberg. From our end – there’s a lot of exciting news coming up in the next few months – from replication to S3 to StoreGrid working with various cloud computing platforms & storage services. Like I said, there’s a lot to come, and a long way to go, and there’s room for everyone, and no clear ‘leader’ as yet!
